Non, um, "realistic" bass guitar samples?

Hi,

This might come as a bit of a shock to bass guitar sample developers, but not everyone loves to hear perfect "realism" in the sample library. Good, yes, but what I am talking about is things like fret buzz, string noise, and the like.

I won't mention any specific products to not give a bad impression due to the fact that I *know* some people MUST like it or it wouldn't be marketed as such a blantant positive.

Yet it just turns me well, not on, and not wanting to buy.

Does anyone have a bass guitar library that they can recommend that is pretty consistent from note-to-note, meaning that there is none of the worshipped-as-divine "realism" that some of us as guitar players actually try to AVOID when playing?

Thank you and sorry for this coming out in a rant-like format. Sure, Devs..."realisim" like this sounds "cool" but only to fake the listener into thinking it's actually played by a human and not trying to make them believe we're just programming it.

There is a time, though, where it just distracts from the song. In my case, it's every time. I don't expect anyone else to have this much of a need "not" to have it as I do, but I am sure that I am at least not alone on the bass-ic point.

(Bad pun...it's Monday.)

Thank you,

- Paul
