MPC2000 to Control Battery?

Is this possible? Have heard that it is, but haven't been able to get it to work just yet. Can anyone here please give me specific details as to how I can go about hooking this up? I'm becoming a bit tired of placing beats where I want them, would rather tap away.

You have to assign a cell in Battery to a pad on the MPC. Select the cell, click the 'Learn' button, and double-tap a pad on your MPC. Simple as that.
Of course you have to route the MPC's MIDI to Battery. If you're running standalone, then you shouldn't need to do that, but if you're running Battery inside a host, you'll need to send the MIDI signals to Battery. I'm not familiar with SX3 so I can't help you there....

I'm not sure why it isn't working, but it isn't. To make sure that it wasn't a faulty computer setting of some kind, I replaced the MPC with my Midi Keyboard. While the 'Learn' option was blinking, I hit the first key on the keyboard and it worked. This is how I have my MPC set internally:
- Midi/Sync
- Sync Out (Out: A)
- Mode: MIDI TIME CODE
- Frame Rate: 30
- Send MMC: ON
Then I have the Midi output (A) of my MPC going into the Midi in of my soundcard. This should make it work, no? Are the MPC2000 classics simply incapable of this midi feature or does MIDI TIME CODE imply that it can? I seriously don't get it.
Someone please help, this is seriously killing me over here.

I'm not sure. I know its possible, and I know you gotta set the current track to MIDI (and set the correct MIDI channel number/port). On my 3000 there's a setting to allow the pads to send MIDI notes but I've never used the 2000. But along with the above steps, I can successfully play Battery from my 3000.
