Hi. I'm looking for a pre to record mainly vocals and am interested in the M-Audio DMP3 and Focusrite Platinum Trakmaster.

I have heard good things about both of these particularly the DMP3 as it uses decent Burr Brown Opamps and other electronics. I also like the fact that it has 2 channels.
I also like the look of the Focusrite Platinum Trakmaster - particular the dual outputs and zero latency monitoring. I'm not bothered by the eq, de-esser and tube thing but the compressor may come in handy.

I am looking for a really transparent uncoloured sound that has plenty of detail (kinda wire with gain) and let my mikes add different colours.

Which one of these pres would you recommend as being the best quality and would I run into any latency problems if I used the DMP3 and monitored back through Cubase SX3 to my outputs on my Echo Layla 3G?

+1 on the Focusrite, superb audio quality.
