Problem with using nord lead 2 as a midi controller

Ive recently acquired a nord lead 2 and want to use it as my midi controller keyboard and get rid of my oxygen 8 but when i ve connected it up to be the controller for a soft synth there is a pop at note on and note off. Tried it with different synths, different channels and different patches and still there is this pop. Im connecting it via the midi in of my presonus firebox. Any ideas what this could be?

Use MidiOX to check that the incoming MIDI data looks good.
