bassline sequencing question!

Hi to all,

im searching for tips and tricks how to programm and sequence these types of basslines, im trying but my bass is missing the funkyness Would be great if some could help me out or give me a starting point. The basslines are full of life and im always bored with mine

Sounds like a live-played funk bassline to me. Pretty hard to sequence this type of thing. You need to throw in lots of muted notes, hammer-ons etc.

To even come close you'll need a good bass library with performance effects (like Trilogy, etc.). Some would say its easier/cheaper to buy a bass and learn some funk riffs...

The final alternative is to buy some bass loops. There are alot of options here, not sure what is the best for you.

thx alot jeremy, thought it must be some kind of live played bass, cause im programming my brain to damage heheh, really hard to get funky with midi notes in a sequencer, ill try what youve mentioned, thx again for yor help
