Seems like most of the ones have crappy pick happy riffs and such whether they are clean, fuzz, distorded, wah...whatever.
Are there any that just have some dang power chords in all the different keys that just sustain? And some that have less "pick happy" riffs?

You could look at Raging Guitars. It's pretty good sounding, and has a lot of stuff. You can get them through the Big Fish Audio site. I don't remember the link at the moment, but Google will help you.

I haven't tried them myself, but it looks as if the Monzter Guitar series might work. The samples have long and staccato notes:

Are they clean or distorted? I believe they are already effected, right?
I know the Raging Guitars has both clean, and various levels of distortion and effects. I guess it depends on exactly what he wants. I've heard good things about Monzter Guitars as well. But if he wants clean, I don't know that it's there. I may be way off though.

At those prices, and that they are multi-sampled patches in formats I can't use...no way. I'll just get Guitar Rig 2 and one of those many bored guitarists out there to come lay down some stuff. Thanks anyway. Someone should really make a nice set of Guitar stuff in Recycle.

Raging Guitars isn't in a format. It comes with it's own player, so it will play in any VST host.
Did you look at that one?

Sounds like you fessing up too then. I was playing...but uh, everyone gets skids every now and then.7thsense wrote:so you admit that about yourself? anyways, what do you use? don't you convert everything anyways?
I do, I convert to SFZ for use in Dimension Pro. But sometimes those things that are formatted for NI won't work in Translator or ESC 3 (same with Reason stuff).
Having the K2 player won't be that big a deal though...but that kind of thing sucks when they could just make a multi-format library.
