EWQLSO GoldProXP instruments without Release Tails?

Hey owners of EWQLSO Gold Pro XP,

Just wondering if any of you have gone to the trouble of saving the whole collection of .nki files after having turned the volume, attack, decay, and release down to 0 on the release trail groups in the included Kompakt player. Don't get me wrong, a number of the patches sound brilliant with their full release tails, but in many (if not most) cases, it's easier to fine-tune the sound and get the right phrasing if you do away with the release tails. Would just be faster if I could place the original release-tail-enabled patches in a "Release Tail" folder, and replace the initial structure with patches that have all had their Release Tails removed!

If any of you have done this or found this, I'd really appreciate it if you could point them out to me or upload a zip of them! If not, I'll do it myself and share them, if any interest is expressed.

Thanks :D

I'd be interested, if you'd like to share them. I was thinking of doing this myself. (Just bought Gold Pro XP Bundle). If not, I can contribute in helping create the tailless instrument patches.

Also, did anyone else with the gold pro xp bundle notice that the original Gold patches (instrument files) aren't included? There's no way to register the original Gold in order to use the original copyprotected patches. They only include a serial number for the pro xp expansion (which supports the original sample data, but doesn't allow you to use the original patches, because they are contained in the original gold installer, which we aren't supposed to install) Does anyone know what's up with that? There are a lot of keyswitch, FX, etc. programs missing according to the patch list in the manual. Shouldn't we have access to the original patches for backward compatibility with other gold xp users, should we work with them? I'm confused. I want to use the original 2.5 patch library. The download version of the 2.5 Gold library from soundsonline.com says they aren't registered if I try to use them. Do we even have access to all the original Gold sample data without these original instrument files?

I hate copy-protected romplers.

Speaking as both a Gold Pro owner and a mephit, all I can say is that nobody had better try chopping MY tail -- if they do, they'll "release tail" pretty darned quick!

I had the same problem trying to use the 2.5 Gold library, but I didn't realize there was extra stuff in there that I would want :-o I should contact EastWest/SoundsOnline and see what they say (phone, of course - I can only assume they have crappy e-mail support just like every other big company).

Anyway, I haven't really worked on this because I'm lazy and have not quite so much free time, but I'll get around to it... or, you know, I might NOT get around to it, kinda depends how I feel at the time :P. Oh well... for now I suppose it's not so bad to go in and adjust the release tails individually for each patch/usage.
