Hello,
I'm looking into getting one of this things to be able to plug in my guitar to my computer since my current rig (guitar-mixer-firewire card-FL on a pc) introduces an obscene amout of latency, specially if i run it through some effects.
I want to hear from any users about their experience with this little device; can you use it together with your main soundcard, or do you need to change audio devices in your software? can it be used with a bass guitar? how does it sound? How's the bundled software?
If anyone can gimme me the 411 i'd be very thankful.
Cheers.

A friend of mine owns one and he's very happy with it
I don't know technical details but he has a laptop with speakers connected to the soundcard output, while the stealth device is just for input. don't know much more

I've got one, and with Amplitude 2 it's a great deal. AUD $199, happy days, and it's so compact as well. If you just need to record guitar it's just the ticket.
I haven't got around to recording with it yet, everytime I've fired it up I've got stuck just jamming with the Amplitube 2 Live that's a standalone included in the box. But as far as the Live application goes, some of the presets are nice and quiet and some sound just like your standing in front of a huge rig, hum and all. Nothing a bit of gating can't fix I shouldn't think if you want to record with it.

Yeah mate, using the Live standalone there is no latency just using the default values. I installed the drivers and the Amplitude 2 VST and Live apps and off I went. It comes bundled with Tracktion 2 and some loops as well, if you need a sequencer that is.Laguna Rising wrote:I'm really interested to it, but I haven't heard comments, and I haven't tried it out, so I join pascual request, is it low latency ?

Mate, I'm loving my Stealthplug eh. There's are some Bass presets included, modelled on an Ampeg head I think, but I haven't tried them, can't comment on them. But the guitar presets are tops. Certainly a good starting point if you like tweaking for your own sound, or using as is. I've been using it standalone, through my laptop, no latency from the Live standalone, I'm loving it.pascual wrote:Hello,

Soooo, i got it. It's pretty nice. Amplitube 2 live sounds super sweet. The only problem is that in order to use it with flstudio, i need to monitor with headphones through the 1/8" stereo jack or i have to reconfigure my whole studio setup; unplug the monitors from my maudio soundcard and attach a 1/8"-rca cable to the arrowhead device...
Anyone know a work around?

I'm gonna get this soon too, cause a tutorial in the CM 200 plugins special issue has tricks for the bundled Sampletank2, and I'm -guessing- you should be able to hostpascual wrote:Soooo, i got it. Amplitube2 Live in FL, and select the Stealthplug as input in Amplitube settings somewhere. They bundle Traction 2.1, so if that is implied you can record Amplitube with Traction, I don't see why another host couldn't find the Stealth signal just as well...(although E-mu dongled up most of their bundleware, I can't see IK making the same marketing blunder, when its obvious the product is priced as a teaser, to get people in the upgrade mode -nothing wrong with that! ':)' I downloded some of the mp3 demos, sounds like you would expect...guitars and fx, more guitars, an more fx'
