Got one selling for 30 quid at a second hand shop near me. I thought it would be crappy but it has a pretty good write up in Vintage Synth explorer - anyone using one? Is it worth it? What is it like as an effects unit?

the reviews at the time were like "if you really dont have other alternatives then you cant find anything cheaper " or along such lines...the demos i heard were totally lacking any kind of personality ...
with that said i fear its even pretty ordinary in terms of supposed sound task, like more for "normal" synth lines then experimentation..
and i d add for that price you can find some other different and guts-bundled hw synth..
i dont have direct experience with that though, i judged only from the features i read in the past, the demos that were on the mags and such..
Peace

I was thinking about the same piece and got recomended the Novation Xiosynth - if you have a chance compare them!

I have a Nanopiano somewhere. They were nice portable units for the time (there were three, the Nanopiano, Nanobass and Nanosynth). The fact that I'm not even sure where mine is anymore should tell you what you need to know about using it today.

That said, for 30 quid, I'd be surprised if you didn't get your money's worth out of it...
