I'm trying the Liveslice demo and I absolutely love it -- I'll probably buy it next week.
One annoying problem is that presets don't seem to save properly. I created an entire bank of multi-track beats, then saved the preset in 2 ways (as an .fxwhatever file and also in the little type-the-name-and-click-the-disk-icon-thingy). When I reopened SONAR and Liveslice later on, I tried loading the presets from both sources but all of my settings beats were lost.
Am I missing something here? Or is this a limitation of the demo that I missed reading about somewhere?

I'm pretty sure that it's a demo limitation (but it's been so long).
Saving and Loading .fxb files works fine here (I'm not using Sonar though)

Well I just bought the full version -- hopefully this will fix it.
