In keeping with my journey of experimentation with different genres I'm after a Moby/massive attack style sample cd, mainly after the loops/beats and one shot hits etc that these and similar artists use. Problem is I don't know how to define the genre, break-beat? trip hop? nu elecktro? which in turns makes such sample cd's difficult to track down. :hihi:

Any opinions and recommendations?]

many thanks

With Moby, I find that if you take away the gospel/blues vocal samples, his instrumentation and arrangements are quite like any easy-listening piano CDs.
Try Richard Clayderman for example. :D
Or were you after the samples?
Just rip them off other roots music like Moby does. :D
So I guess "easy listening" is the genre you're after

That had better be the last time I see Massive Attack and Moby in the same sentence :x :P God I hate Moby.

Smokers Delight is a great, but massively overused triphop sample CD. There's a new one out called Smokers Relight that's supposed to be dope too.

Abstrakt hip-hop by E-lab might be of use too ?

Same people who make Delight and Relight

I span the genres, they call me the genre spanner.

this thread should be renamed to Massive Attack to Moby :hihi:
I like both though
one of the genres which defines Massive Attack music is Trip Hop
Evaluate but don't judge!
