I wonder how some artist can create that 'dirty bass' .
Sample : http://www.speedyshare.com/313676919.html

John Dahlback uses a sound like this, but the sample is from deadmau5...
Thanks in advance !

I think it's a simple saw sound with a nice reverb on it.
Edit: No. It's two sounds I think and the second one is the saw. I started being curious too :)

I think that you are right, and it are 2 sounds. 1 short before and after every long note

Leeate is on the right track I think. It sounds similar to a saw with short reverb (and some filtering).
The only strange part is that airy buzzing quality. It could be a layered sound (noise through a lfo modulated filter can produce a similar effect) or maybe an effect like lofi or distortion.

I think you have the syth side right, on top of that an lfo, or manually controlled band pass filter with some resonance + distortion, exactly what type im not sure. He may have a square wave form in the first part and lose in in the second part. Noise is easy, just vinal distortion from the bass as a backing track with an effect on it..

Deadmau5 is dam good, guarentee its more than we are saying here.

Indeed, he is damn good... Maybe I can ask him :D you never know... ;)
