Not mine - yet. My friend is wanting to sell it and I probably want to buy it but he's lent it to me for a while to try out. How cool is that?

Have to go to work now though so can't play till I get back

You lucky sod. I'm curious as to how it sounds, is it much different from the best of breed softsynths?

So am I. My step daughter's performing in a concert tonight so I doubt I'll have any time to set it up let alone play on it till tomorrow evening. So it goes.

Mind you it's not so much the sounds it comes with as the sheer scope for editing, sampling and effects (its got like a Kaoss pad on steroids) that appeals to me.

I've managed to get it half set up - enough to have a play but still need to set up the PC interface tomorrow.

God this is amazing!!!!! It's just so tactile - the Time-Trip Pad and 2 D-beams are just crying out to be touched (or waved over). I think I need some extra hands

And the sounds have so much movement and life to them - so deeply programmed. So glad I have great speakers - it sounds so lovely.

The first patch is called "Da V Code" and has some Gregorian Nuns (or Monks depending on what pitch you play) making some tripped out sounds. Because it uses variphrase technology you can time stretch, jitter, speed up or slow down the phrasing all using the Time-Trip pad and/or D beams - its amazing - your slightest touch gets instant feedback so you end up sort of rubbing this XY Pad up the right way to get a new sound - it's quite sensuous actually, gives a whole new meaning to tickling the ivories

drools. always had a thing for hardware, i like software, but hardware synths can seem so more inviting and playable in some ways. have phun

Anyone know where to get memory expansions for it (in the UK) and what's the best sort to get? It seems to have some sort of PC card slot but if there's an adapter that will take SD cards or similar that would be ideal.

What do you want to know? I've only had it a couple of days and had limited time but just gradually going through the 512 factory patches is jaw dropping enough - especially when you use the physical controllers.

It seems deep in terms of programming but the interface is the most logical I've seen in a synth - it's made to tweak and touch - very well designed.

Managed to get a memory card adapter today which seems to work OK so can now use SD cards (or any flash memory) - the built in RAM is limited but with flash memory I can make my own samples and patches more easily.

Congratualtions! One of the strogest features, for me, has been the ability to to load loops and "REX" them or slice th loop into parts and assign the slices to individual keys. Also, I have been playing around with bringing in single cycle wave forms and using the it as a wavetable synth. Using the time trip pad this way gives you granular and vector synthesis sounds. Another cool thing to try is replacing the sounds in one of the drum kits with non-drum sounds and playing with the modulation.

I'm not going to say how I did some of this stuff 'cause I don't want to give away to many secrets but I can say that not only is this machine a powerful synth but it's also an amazing sampler.

Ozark Henry plays some really breathtaking parts with his V-synth on his album 'The Sailor, Not The Sea'. I really wanted to have the V-synth after hearing that. But I'm not a key player, I'm a drummer; I fear I might not dig out enough of its potential.

I've imported just a few samples so far but am a bit confused about how to save a new patch without overwriting one of the old ones? Now I have 1 GIG of extra memory I thought that would make it easier but while the actual editing is easy saving and patch management is not as intuitive.
