..anyone have a M-audio Oxygen set up in Cubase??
I spent some time setting up the remote control in Cubase SE3 using the "generic remote" template...
I can get the faders and knobs working well enough but the buttons are less stable and have completely changed setting on me when changing songs..
I had the buttons set up as a remote for the "solo" button corresponding to the fader above which are mapped to channel volumes..
Just wondered if any else has a similar experience and some tips or info...
I'll give it another go though trying to program the buttons with the enigma software and see if I can get them to stick..

I had KS88Pro mapped to Cubase. The knobs on that thing seemed to have a bug in them. They reverted back to program change for some reason. I don't know if it was user error or an actual bug. Never found out.I sold it since i did'nt have room for it and needed the cash.

..Thanks for the info...
The knobs and sliders on the Oxygen are rock solid and are holding their settings, its just the buttons I need to sort out..
The Midi CC settings in the generic remote dialog in Cubase have not changed since I set them up so I dont think Cubase is the problem...
I am going to reprogram the buttons manually through the keyboard instead of using the enigma editor software and see if that works...
If I cant get it to work I think I will sell it and get myself one of those Edirol PCR 500 controllers...I've heard good things about them..

The funny thing was the transport buttons worked just fine.It was the bigger buttons to the right that was wonky. The sliders and knobs worked just fine for me too.

mmm..thats sounds similar to my situation because the transport buttons work fine here too...although I dont have much use for them because I use keyboard shortcuts for those functions...so yeah on the oxygen its the buttons underneath the faders that are wonky..jupiter8 wrote:The funny thing was the transport buttons worked just fine.It was the bigger buttons to the right that was wonky. The sliders and knobs worked just fine for me too.
oh well, thats what I get for buying on impulse without checking up reviews, I definately wouldnt have bought M-audio if I had known the issues beforehand..

if i recall correctly, there are flags (right column) for buttons to say whether they are toggle (click = on/off) or momentary (down=on; up=off). i had to do this to get my Axiom working as you describe.

yes, you are right about that, i had my buttons set to toggle but they still wouldnt hold the settings, maybe i should try the other setting and see if that works..I could live with the solo button just being a "press and hold" type, would be better than nothing,,,I will give it a try...Nonplus wrote:if i recall correctly, there are flags (right column) for buttons to say whether they are toggle (click = on/off) or momentary (down=on; up=off). i had to do this to get my Axiom working as you describe.
