Hi

I'm here asking the community for the following request that concerns my work as sound designer ( or more precisely sample designer ) that i hope to eventually see published

These ones here as example of my work...
( EXS24 patches easily converted in other format because of the very basic program editions )
... mostly oriented ambient music, that you may find also on the sticky thread of the sound design subforum :

www.anak-krakatoa.net/~downl/samples/samples.zip

If they'd sound "pro" enough, who do you think. would be interested in selling them ( from small downloadable 50Meg file to 1Gig or more sampleset in a few major format for instance ? )

I think you might need to do something with MIME types...

Suggestion: .zip

.hqx is mac-specific, and also your webserver (or my firefox) don't like it.

+1 for .zip!

OS X has built in zip compression. Control or right click a folder or files and select "create archive of" it will zip it all together but the compression is not as good as a .rar compression.

Thanks folks you're handy people, gonna see that immediately... :tu:

Just downloading them. Gonna get back to you once I checked them.
There are 3 kinds of people:
Those who can do maths and those who can't.

Ok, it shoukd be fixed for everybody by now, ( converted to .zip files )

for your guidance, there is a color code :

red/orange : pianistic envelopes
green : tuned rex file
cyan : tuned legato
violet : tuned one-shot

there are finally in both Logic EXS24 and Reason NN-XT format ( + a single Rx2 file )

have fun...

As pretext for bumping the subject, i just explain a bit the ground of this sort of directory :

As pianistic enveloppe : the sample are usually long, unlooped and fading down, the program edit makes profit of the use of a damper pedal, just like any piano or e-piano

As tuned legato : long looped samples with complex structural and timbral content but always including a very distinct pitch ( eventually interval or harmonies with a single, strongest note as tuning base ) that is used as base for tuning the related program

As tuned one-shot : tuned unlooped samples played to end, that makes great use of changement of the sample's own character through transposition ( listen to the woodpecker on that purpose )

As tuned rex file : this is a personnal experimentation on bird's warbling to make them both usuable inside a defined type of scale ( major one in the case ) and choosen tempo after conversion to the REX format ...there is also the original rx2 files in addition the the EXS24 converted one
