Hi,

I managed to keep my "feature request" list aside for several months… Now that Liveslice is rocking solid (only a couple of minor bugs in v1.45)… Here is my list

----------------------------------------
FR_LIST_01 (>Liveslice v1.45)
----------------------------------------
File browser:

- LS145_FR01/ Resizable file browser (at least for its width, in order to be able to display folders and files with long names)

- LS145_FR02/ Include a drop list in file browser displaying the latest browsed folders

Slicer:

- LS145_FR03/ Enable the start and end markers to "snap" to the other markers in the slicer (easier to crop accurately a loop)

- LS145_FR04/ Be able to "lock" a marker in the slicer (sometimes, with a little sensitivity, some slices are not detected, but with high sensitivity, there are too much markers! It would be interesting to be able, in high sensitivity, to lock the useful markers, and then go back to a lower sensitivity in order to keep the good slices only)

- LS145_FR05/ Moving the start or end markers, recalculates the BPM (presently, must crop to see the new BPM)

Arranger:

- LS145_FR06/ Be able to apply a swing type of quantize (in %), on the selected (or all?) events of a track… would be so... groovy :)

- LS145_FR07/ Move/Shift left or right events on a track by the amount defined by the quantization value, for example 1/8, 1/16 etc. (presently, only possible to move the events to the left or right by the number of steps between the last event and the first one with [<] and [>], may be RMB on these buttons could do the job?)

- LS145_FR08/ Change value of the selected parameter of selected event(s) with mouse (presently only possible with keyboard shortcuts if I'm right?)

- LS145_FR10/ Indication that a parameter is being used (I.E. parameter is not at its default value) on a track (at a glance, you could tell that if you have a "strange sound" in a track, it's because you have modified the pitch and attack parameters for example; we could have a small * sign, next to the name of the parameter Ex. Volume* or Pitch*, or the names could just change in color etc. )

- LS145_FR11/ When selecting a parameter (pitch, volume etc.), the values of the parameter are automatically displayed on each event (presently, you must select all the events, and then click on the parameter button to see the values of the selected parameter of the selected slices)

Arrangements:

- LS145_FR12/ Be able to define "automatic chaining" between arrangements (interesting for persons who don't necessarily use MIDI to trigger arrangements, and use Liveslice more like a drum machine; for example, chaining arrangement C1 with C#1, would make Liveslice play C1, then C#1, and loop back to C1 again etc.)

Main/General:

- LS145_FR13/ Redo function (please)

- LS145_FR14/ VST automation for major functions, such as Record, Start/Stop etc.

- LS145_FR15/ Drag and drop of slices, or events (I.E. export function) outside Liveslice (directly in host for example)

I guess I better dig mine out too, then!

;)

+1 to these. And here's a few comments.

FR01 - Ohm did suggest 4 different fixed widths (hidden, as now, double, treble)

FR02 - I had suggested 4 "favourite" folder buttons [A] [C] [D] too

FR04 - yep, and when I'm working fast I sometimes move the slices accidentally.

FR05 - I've asked for this too, and the ability to manually enter a bpm, with the loop being adjusted to a new length automatically.

FR08 - requested by me too

FR10 - only if this display is optional

FR11 - yep, that woud help a lot

...yes, resizable browser and a file system with custom "virtual" folders like having one folder for your hiphop beats, one for your jazz drums, one for Drum & Bass loops etc., without actually having to copy them into one folder on your HD. I have multiple libraries on one style and I like to keep their original file structure, yet I'd like to have all the files of a dedicated genre available at one fingertip (does my description make sense?)...

Hi,

These are in no order;

1) Ability to send a track in an arrangement to a different output. This appears to be possible for a slice but not a whole track. This would make recording a live gig easier when it comes to any post production if a release was intended.

2) Ability to trigger a slice in all tracks within an arrangement rather than just one slice per highlighted track.

3) Slice/beat repeat function (switchable for both one and all tracks)

4) MIDI learn for the recording start/stop button

5) 2 more MIDI inserts

Apologies if any of these are already possible.

I use all the time liveslice in live situation and here is a a suggestion , but maybe hard to create :
it seems to be close to this but a little different

- LS145_FR12/ Be able to define "automatic chaining" between arrangements (interesting for persons who don't necessarily use MIDI to trigger arrangements, and use Liveslice more like a drum machine; for example, chaining arrangement C1 with C#1, would make Liveslice play C1, then C#1, and loop back to C1 again etc.)

a scene menu ( maybe could it work like the rec button)with "scene learn"
it could be fantastic to snapshot currents arrangements for exemple shift+ lmb on a button for snapshot all the currently arrangements actually playing, rmb for copy etc) in a live situation and to re ask this scene just with one button.
guru works like this with the scene option ( but I don't think liveslice need 48 scene button like this fantastic groovebox), and I think it will really give a possible new usage for live situation , liveslice could be a nice drum machine.

1) Ability to send a track in an arrangement to a different output. This appears to be possible for a slice but not a whole track. This would make recording a live gig easier when it comes to any post production if a release was intended.
I'm totally agree , it could be very useful.
ohm said this (from this post http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic ... ice+effect)
I'm usually using a lot of tracks or simultanious arrangements to mix different sounds - when I want smooth fades between arrangements I use multiple outputs and an external mixer (and serisously consider adding some kind of crossfading between arrangements)
with the possibility to send a track in an arrangement to a different output, it could be possible with most of host (modular like energy xt or usine) to do smooth fades and a kind of mixing

sorry for this bad explanation, my english is very poor...
