I managed to keep my "feature request" list aside for several months… Now that Liveslice is rocking solid (only a couple of minor bugs in v1.45)… Here is my list
----------------------------------------
FR_LIST_01 (>Liveslice v1.45)
----------------------------------------
File browser:
- LS145_FR01/ Resizable file browser (at least for its width, in order to be able to display folders and files with long names)
- LS145_FR02/ Include a drop list in file browser displaying the latest browsed folders
Slicer:
- LS145_FR03/ Enable the start and end markers to "snap" to the other markers in the slicer (easier to crop accurately a loop)
- LS145_FR04/ Be able to "lock" a marker in the slicer (sometimes, with a little sensitivity, some slices are not detected, but with high sensitivity, there are too much markers! It would be interesting to be able, in high sensitivity, to lock the useful markers, and then go back to a lower sensitivity in order to keep the good slices only)
- LS145_FR05/ Moving the start or end markers, recalculates the BPM (presently, must crop to see the new BPM)
Arranger:
- LS145_FR06/ Be able to apply a swing type of quantize (in %), on the selected (or all?) events of a track… would be so... groovy
- LS145_FR07/ Move/Shift left or right events on a track by the amount defined by the quantization value, for example 1/8, 1/16 etc. (presently, only possible to move the events to the left or right by the number of steps between the last event and the first one with [<] and [>], may be RMB on these buttons could do the job?)
- LS145_FR08/ Change value of the selected parameter of selected event(s) with mouse (presently only possible with keyboard shortcuts if I'm right?)
- LS145_FR10/ Indication that a parameter is being used (I.E. parameter is not at its default value) on a track (at a glance, you could tell that if you have a "strange sound" in a track, it's because you have modified the pitch and attack parameters for example; we could have a small * sign, next to the name of the parameter Ex. Volume* or Pitch*, or the names could just change in color etc. )
- LS145_FR11/ When selecting a parameter (pitch, volume etc.), the values of the parameter are automatically displayed on each event (presently, you must select all the events, and then click on the parameter button to see the values of the selected parameter of the selected slices)
Arrangements:
- LS145_FR12/ Be able to define "automatic chaining" between arrangements (interesting for persons who don't necessarily use MIDI to trigger arrangements, and use Liveslice more like a drum machine; for example, chaining arrangement C1 with C#1, would make Liveslice play C1, then C#1, and loop back to C1 again etc.)
Main/General:
- LS145_FR13/ Redo function (please)
- LS145_FR14/ VST automation for major functions, such as Record, Start/Stop etc.
- LS145_FR15/ Drag and drop of slices, or events (I.E. export function) outside Liveslice (directly in host for example)
