I recently hooked up my new Korg X-50 into a (relatively new) Presonus Firebox, via the 3/4 Line In. However, even with the volume all the way up, it's pretty quiet when played through the interface. If I hook my headphones directly in, even at low volumes it is adequate. The Presonus software mixer won't go any higher than 0dB (default) for the Line 3/4 volumes.
Any idea how I can pump the volume higher?

The Driver/Samplerate panel is set to -12 dbu by default, try changing it to consumer level.

The Firebox 0dbu reference is -20dbfs. If you're hitting that nominally, then you are getting adequate signal. Also, it's +4dbu sensitivity, if your Korg is -10dbV, you need to either put a -10dbV-+4dbu converter in the line, or use a DI and go into the mic pres.
The software mixer doesn't go above 0 because it's dbfs, not vu increments.
Target your nominal record levels to -20dbfs and you'll have more than adequate level and transient headroom.
