Not free, but good value, try the Gu Zheng (Chinese version of Koto) from Kong audio,

Herman Witkam (http://www.herman-witkam.com/raw/) made a really nice Koto that was available for a small donation... maybe send him an email, because I'm not sure if it's still up on his website.

do yourself a favor and buy RA it has the best Koto ever ! hands down there is nothing out there that is that good.

I'm on a koto quest too.. a free koto quest... I've found several high priced mega sample libraries with koto included... hmms.. maybe I should hunt soundfonts..

I've got 2 pretty good freeware 7mb Koto soundfonts that I downloaded at some stage - but I renamed them, so no source! .
Anyway, I've put them up here and here (direct download zip files)
I know this is slightly dodgy - but I also know that all the soundfonts I have were from freeware sources... so hope it's ok.
