One of the most beloved echo effects ever made, the Roland RE-201 Space Echo, has been reborn as the BOSS RE-20 Twin Pedal! Roland and BOSS have recreated every sonic detail and nuance of the original. Experience the legendary tape-echo sound of the RE-201, and get "lost in space" with this retro-modern marvel.

* Amazing simulation of the famous Roland RE-201, with the spacious, analog tone of the original Space Echo

* Faithful modeling of the RE-201's tape flutter and magnetic head sound saturation

* Tap input pedal allows delay time to be set by foot

* Longer delay time than the original RE-201

* Control parameters such as REPEAT RATE, INTENSITY, and more via Expression pedal

* MODE SELECTOR knob with 12 placements just likes the original Space Echo

I'm interested to hear what it sounds like once it's available. But man, I hate that moulded plastic thing that Boss has going with its double pedals.

You can get the manual over here if you want to see the full specs:

i'd be willing to give it a try! i have a 201 with a dead motor. what almost everyone seems to neglect is that what make the 201 so unique is that it contains a small reverb spring inside. it was a combo of the delay and the reverb together that gave it it's sound. most digital clones seem to miss that point. hope roland remembers!

Something like $235.

That's way better than $3000 for a decent RE-201.

Plastic sucks, I agree, but these are failing times, and I wanna get my kicks before it all goes up in flames..

~235 isn't bad at all.
still can't afford it, but it's the thought that counts.

it's not that bad, I have the leslie and the guitar synth double pedals and they are not the soft, thin plastic behringer uses, it 1/8 inch thick (i had the synth one for like 5 years and it's less beaten up than some metal ones I have (digitech, mxr are prone to chipping and EHX gets bumpy pretty fast)
i SO want this one to on my pedal board and it's full stereo so it can go after my boss lezlie

edit : added the quote as it took me to long to write and its ot of context now
reading the manual now, entering GAS mode

I'm skeptical, but we'll see...
Incomplete list of my gear: 1/8" audio input jack.

I'm less concerned with the build quality, shallow as I am, I just think that it's heavy on the fugly.

oh-oh... guess this means boss/roland will be coming after ArcDev

this does look pretty cool - but can you set the amount of tape flutter, and the 'inertia' like on ArcDev Dubboxx?

could be very good. hope so.
resistors are futile you will be simulated
