Description: A circuit bent Grillo Parlante, the italian version of the glorious Speak and Spell.

Short and pitched phonemes, glitches, molested and distorted words, drunk Bmovie-styled nonsense, frozen screams with scattered lo-fi particles, all divided in four banks:
-55 short glitches
-70 medium glitches
-24 monologues
-28 frozen sounds

Plus, the raw character of the frozen sounds has been tuned with Kontakt2's tone machine for a massive set of 28 oscillators with a vocoded feel, a special robotic choir at your service.

Contents:
- 4 original patches, 28 frozen/tuned oscillators (Kontakt2 only), 17 frozen/tuned layered & effected patches (Kontakt2 only).

- 177 wave samples at 16bit/44100, unprocessed tone.

all sounds in the demo are from the sampleset, processed with the usual suspects..technocratic and slightly aleatoric freeware fxs plug-ins.

glad you liked the pseudotrack.
that was really quick to make, just layering sounds in Tracktion2 (hope it's a good point for the sampleset).

some more fetish infos:
-the 70 yrs old man who sold me the original unit had 4 more and had me drooling a bit.

-he also had a "il mio amico 8-bit" a sort rarish edutoy with cartridges. more saliva and a bit of regret.

-I modified my GP with distortion, up/down pitch bending, 3 glitches switches, 1 hold/freeze glitch, powersave switch, internal speaker switch & a mono 1/4 jack.

-I originally made the set for using it with my electronic duo, Steamheated, and it works. the sampling was made at 24bit 192.
even the short glitches are a true goldmine for our use in fxs/instruments like Splinetime (granular and/or wavetravelling).

-I directed the recording towards capturing more glitches than words. but you'll get some words too, with an eye on truncated phrases, as the one you can hear in the beginning of the demo.

This kit is brilliant, very interesting and unusual. I also bought 2 other kits from Pro sounds, kaneda's Dead Piano (a very resonant, knackered old piano) and Michael Bietenholz's Grainy (wonderful granular textures). They were only 5 or so quid each and they gave me a free kit with each purchase (not sure if that's the norm). Very friendly service and highly recommended!
