I'm using the Morphine demo (Mac OSC 10.4.10) and I can't load any of the noise samples.

I'm pretty sure that they're useable from listening to the SFX presets.

Does anyone know how to use these? Or is it a limitation of the demo version?

Thanks for your help.

Thanks for your report.

Please let me know: when you downloaded Morphine demo (is it version 1.1.5? ) and also, are you using Intel or PowerPC Mac?

Could you please download the demo again and try? It's a chance it's fixed now.

Maxx,

I downloaded and reinstalled Morphine and the problem is fixed. It sounds fantastic. :-) Thanks for your help!

As long as I'm writing, I'm curious to find out what feature enhancements you have for Morphine in the future. Specifically:

- a new algorithm for importing charged samples. I've used quite a lot, and while I hear some difference between them, they all basically sound like a sort of pitched buzzing. Your preset "Take Me to the Top" has a pretty clear sound and I've been trying to get something like that with my vocal samples.

- More features for breakpoint editing (grid snap, select multiple breakpoints at once, cut, copy, paste individiual breakpoints or parts of a spectrum, preset breakpoint envelopes ??"painting tools"?? . . .

I see that I've requested a lot of information, so whatever you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks again for your help.

P.S. I'm using a PowerPC Mac, iMac G5, OSX 10.4.10

Cool... great it works for you now!

Well, about the features... there is always a room for improving, lol. Yet it's not planned to add new features in Morphine, at least for next a couple of months, I will be buzy with other new stuff(s).

Importing samples need some skills to get a good result... some sounds are possible to resynthesise, some not. Well, you should try different settings, but keep in ming what you hear on "testing" - is just a lo-fi preview for tuning the sample. You should always click "Import Charged sample" to hear the final result. Importing works quite fast, so if you don't get good sound after all, you may try again with different pitch/resolution settings. Wanna tutorial - post a sample here, and I will try to send you the mophine preset produced of this sample, and tell you how I did it (well, if you need it at all... but I'm pretty sure after you try Morphine more you'll find your own way yourself).
