How to synthesis electricity lighting sounds ?

Does anyone here know how to synthesis interesting electricity and lighting sounds?

Ide like to know too. The best example of lightning and thunder i have found on a synth was from the Nord Modular G1 presets (the Micro i think).

I am thinking that its about using a HiPass filter and/or bandpass filter controlled by envelopes ?
And a short delay for the lightning.
