Most obvious place is to use it as a mic preamp, like it was designed for.
BUT: start to get the sound you want from the amp. If that's not possible: use another amp or go for a software amp sim.
Next main contribution to the sound is the room and the mic. Preamps have more subtle things added to the sound.
Most cheap tube preamps aren't any good. They are just regular preamps with a tube stuck in it for marketing and cosmetics.

For a proper tube pre-amp you'd need to look at the ART MPA GOLD or Electro-Harmonix 12AY7. The Presonus Bluetube and ART TPS are both Hybrid Preamps and the tube has a very small part in the signal.
Both the MPA GOLD and EH 12AY7 use proper tube circuitry and would be a much better choice than the ones you've listed.
Alternativley you could by a guitar preamp by Sansamp, Mesa Boogie, Hughes & Kettner and Hartke. One of the guitarists I recorded used a Mesa Boogie guitar preamp and the sound we got was superb!
