I was just wondering if anyone knows what the Japanese vst markets like? Do companys like NI make localized versions and vice versa. Obviously there's the the big hardware manufacturers and isn't synth 1 made by a Japanese guy but are there any good commercial plugins people know of that haven't been ported to English?

Post

Synth 1 is made by a Japanese. I think VOID is made by Japanese as well.
What do you get when you cross an elephant with a rhinoceros? Elefino! Ba do symbol crash!

Purity is korean, and that came to english. I wonder if most software develpers are english speaking and what not. but probably ignorance involved here..

i don't find many japanese developers of commercial vsts. there's a handful of freeware developers i know of. there's a magazine called DTM which is the equivalent of CM or FM here, whenever i look through it, it has lots of stuff listed here at kvr - if you work your way through these pages, you may find the odd japanese developer whose not:

Void is the biggest VST in Japan I think- it is a vey nice modular synth- very raw and punchy

Looking at the DTM page I noticed mu-station. I've seen a couple of the synth's here before but I don't recall seeing Capsule which is quite a cool little sequenced synth.

Another I've not seen here Aquarium Records.
