The best option (that isn't the £800 korg zero 4 - ouch says my wallet) is the Behringer DJ conroller that costs about £120 but has an unfortunate tacky plastic feel and a bizarre layout with the 3 EQ knobs arranged side-by-side and massive chunky fisher-price knobs and sliders!!
How can a company get a product concept so right (2 channel audio plus DJ interface, bus-powered - perfect) and yet the execution so wrong!! You may wonder what i expect for £120, and thats a fair point, but the next option up is the Ecler Nuo 4 at around £600!!
It seems to me that if behringer can knock out a unit for £120, then it would be possible for other manufacturers to make a surface with regular DJ mixer build quality and style and the same features for about £250-£300. Am I asking too much?!
Anyway - any suggestions welcomed!!
