Novation Remote 25 LE

Ok I own remote 25 le.Everytime I try to edit map a specific rotary knob or buttom to a certain setting i have trouble.It seems that only certain knobs or buttons allow me to learn.Ohter thing is that I used a oxgen controller prior to the remote 25 le and It shows all the functions to the oxygen when I try to learn something.How can I get rid of all those functions.Can I set my remote 25 le to default settings
