sampling is so hard in hip hop
but if i have a nice sounding synth or whatever that just stops to quick, is there a way to drag the end off so it sounds more complete
i have a bunch of sample files like sounds from an MPC, i guess there just drum samples
should i load them into FPC then?
i really want to get better at vocal sampling though, its really hard to get it just right, like the voice just stops too fast, and when i play it on a different key its all off timing, and too fast
is there a way to change the pitch but keep the timing right? whats that called?
i'm using Fl Studio by the way
any help would be greatly appreciated.
im new at sampling and want to get better

Your sampler should have an envelope generator a.k.a. ADSR. The Release stage can be used to make a sound fade out gently instead of ending abrubtly.-Nova- wrote:if i have a nice sounding synth or whatever that just stops to quick, is there a way to drag the end off so it sounds more complete
Also, in some samplers there's the option to continue playback of a sample all the way to the end instead of stopping when the triggering note stops. Useful for cymbal crashes etc.
Can do yeah...-Nova- wrote:i have a bunch of sample files like sounds from an MPC, i guess there just drum samples

Time stretching should be your friend:-Nova- wrote:i really want to get better at vocal sampling though, its really hard to get it just right, like the voice just stops too fast, and when i play it on a different key its all off timing, and too fast
