HI

I have recently switched to a quad core E6600 and have found that all the plugs in the Juicepack (when run in XTV1 or V2) are now distorting and breaking up - this is especially apparent with the eq's: when boost is applied.

I am still installing software (been a bit busy) and need to try JuicepaK with some other host programs to be sure.

Anyone else using a quad core who can confirm or otherwise my experience?

Thanks.

Can you give me a step-by-step instruction of how to reproduce this?

HI

>Open XT

>Load sequencer

>Load a synth to a midi track

>Add any fx from JuicePack as an insert to the synth track

>Adjust parametres to get the break-up I previously described

Tried Juicepack in ORION and did NOT have the same behaviour - so it is possibly an XT problem.

Would still appreciate if you can look into it though.

Thanks.

EDIT: I just noticed the V2.0.2 up-date - I will give this a try as i am running V2.0.

Does XT have an option to process plugins in more than one thread (or on more than one core)? If so, is that option on or off?

Also, did you use Juice Pack on another computer before? If so, was it better on that one, and what kind of computer was it?

I can reproduce this. I'll see what I can find.

HI

XTV1 can use up to 4 cores by user choice (I did (by default 'core 1' is used - I did not alter this)- XTV2 doesn't have this feature yet.

I previously used 'Juice' on my dual Xeon DAW with no issues, I also use it on my Internet PC with no problem.

HI

Any news on this bug/conflict?

Thanks.

No news so far.

Ok, this is disconcerting. Is this a problem specific to the XT/Juicepack combo, or a quad core/Juicepack issue?

I haven't had the time to find out yet. I will get to this, but I can't currently say when. Next week, hopefully.

HI

I just tried Juicepack out on my Internet PC - p4 2.26ghz and found that XTV1 exhibits the problem - XTV2 doesn't ...

I will retest on my quad-core - but last time, both versions had problems with juicepack.

HI

I can confirm that the same 'issue' is also exhibited in Reaper.

I wouldn't be surprised if all host's give the same results on a quad-core when using Juicepack.

Any news!

I can assure you that that's not the case, as I use a quad-core.

OK!

I will try out a few other hosts that I have and see how it sares in them.

Orion and Tracktion will get a testing this evening!

Thanks.

HI

On my Internet PC (P4 2.26ghz) I am finding the juicepack fx are showing the same distrorted behaviour-most notable on the eq's.

Any news on this issue?

Thanks.
