er, one of them :hihi:

I originally bought this squire cause it was cheap and sounded/played great.........but lately............not so much

I've noticed some very crappy things......like the g string always being the loudest.....and that is with the pickups so lop-sided (high e, low, very very low on the g) and it just sucks. Action and playability went south.....yada.....yada......

So I started f'n around taking measurements and such and yes, the e side was MUCH higher than the g side at the neck mount! Decided to take it apart and see if there was anything strange. Sure enough, there was a piece of sandpaper (from where, who knows.....)!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The question is, was it being used as a shim? A forgotten piece of Indonesian workmanship ( :hihi: ) or, a decoration?

At any rate, I'm not completely done, but after some minor sanding and some re-adjustments, it's MUCH better than it was..........

Ok, just bored and thought I'd share...... :)
