I wonder if they are available.
I've seen a package called "Access Virus Waveform" with 64 wavs inside. I suppose it is the thing which was used in well-known "z3ta Virus mod".
Have you seen such things for JP8000, Nord Lead, etc?
I'm also interested in legal status of osc samples, although it seems to me that sampled oscillators don't violate anything while they are released for free.
And of course, I don't mean patch samples.. only pure waveforms.
Famous hardware synths osc waveforms?

Sampling generated osc waveforms is legal. However, if those waveforms were themselves recorded from something else, it is not. Using the name of the synthesizer to market is another story, that's a trademark issue and you might be in trouble there.

I bought some Nord Lead samples on EBay (cheap, like $15). At various times I found downloads of waveforms for the Virus and Wavestation floating around on the net as well.
