hi all,
i'm looking to buy a new keyboard soon and was just wondering what to go for. It has to be 88 keys and hammer weighted as i play the piano and want to try and get close to a piano feel as possible. It can also just a be a controller keyboard as long it has good action as i can use other devices for the sound. i've been looking about and at m-audio, casio roland etc and i'm getting mixed reviews on all of them. So if anyone has got a 88 key keyboard and they like it, tell me what you like and don't like about it.
i would really appreciate any help in this matter.

Try looking for items on consignment... At your local music store, or try Ebay.... Maybe try the Pawn shops in your city....
I found an elka m76 (76 weighted keys) midi conroller for 200

Check out a second hand Roland RD500 or RD600, both are incredible pianos. I have an RD600 and a Yamaha U3 upright and love both equally in feel.

Anything I've heard from weighted Yamaha keyboards is anything but negative.
Though for less than 300 pounds, you may as well buy one from here mate.
(roughly $1000, though you might have to add a few extra dollars for a decent one.)
