Novation Compact SL vs. Novation SL

Hi Musicians

I was looking for a new KB controller, but I don't have to rush into it.

Let me start by saying my primary instrument isn't keyboards, still I like the feel and playability of the Novation.

Assuming the compact plays the same as the SL.
Those of you who own the Novation SL do you really use all the features, display, knobs, etc. ?

Do you use release velocity? Think the Compact has it?

I notice the pads are bigger on the Compact but still no aftertouch. Maybe not a big deal, but hitting a drum roll by pressing harder on the pads is handy.
