How in gods name do you make kik drums like this man?! i have an analog drum machine (jomox, which rother himself uses) and you can get some nice kiks but nothing like, say the kik in Hacker:

wow that is some cool shit... I dunno about microtonic, dont own never heard it... probably can, supposed to be very good. but I would start with a bad ass sample... a proper trance 1... then I would put a low pass filt on it... than I would drop a synth over it... least to say, I reckon that is layered, and that song is bad ass....
I used to think the internet was going to unite mankind. Now I realize the internet is perhaps mankinds greatest wasteland of bickering, greed, and narrow minds. " And we all shine on, " Imagine that.

Anthony Rothers is the shiz..... he's got tonnes of phat tracks..
and microtonic can definitely handle that kick.... i'd prefer to synth that kick than use a sample & fx.. thats just me tho
great one

Cool, cheers i'll give it a try. do you know the other lovely percussion he uses a lot, kinda sounds like wooden toms? (probably a bad description!). suppose it sort of sounds like some of bodzin's perc too. its here @ 2mins 43secs:inf0tr8r wrote:microtonic can nail these sounds with a bit of tweaking..
