Hello. First let me say what a great tool Liveslice is. I bought it a year ago but I've only just started using it in energyXT. I feel that it will be a central part of my live performance if I can fully get to grips with it.

I'm having trouble doing something simple: capturing incoming audio and immediately 'taking over' with the recorded loop (which I can then manipulate/randomise etc).

Automute seems to cut off the incoming audio, but how do I get my new loop to start playing automatically? If somebody would be kind enough to walk me through it, or point me to some instructions (I've already read both manuals to no avail) then I'd be most grateful. Please be as detailed as possible. I don't mind being patronised if it means getting the most out of this suberb tool.

Thanks in advance, and apologies for what's probably a dumb question!

:)

try this:

load any loop in a slot and click the "lock 2 loop" button. now record to the same slot and you'll hear how your recording replaces the existing loop, and is also placed in that same track in the arranger.

hope this helps

Thanks for that Ohm, I'll try it tonight. So I do that with monitoring and auto-mute on, right? When I stop recording, will the loop automatically start playing? I hope so. Thanks again. :)

Got it! Sadly it's revealed another problem though, sorry...
