Hello all!
Brand new to the audio world.
I have a power mac g5 that some friends have encouraged me to use towards audio.
Just bought Logic 8.
I have many instruments that need to be mic'd so more importantly, I need some sort of sound card mixer.. (and mic setup)
Any suggestions?
I don't need the baddest mixer out.. I just need something that is not a waste of money.
In better words, Im trying to pull a professional sound out of 500 bucks or <.
any good advice to steer me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated!
Btw, does any one know of a midi 88key hammer action keyboard thats reasonably priced? The last couple I knew of was the p-70 and the p-90 both yamaha.. unfortunately I cannot find them anywhere anymore..
Thank you!
Spreading my wings

there are a couple of mixers out there with firewire connectivity that you can use as a frontend for the mac.
check mackie or alesis. if you dot need faders i would suggest a fireface 400 from rme.
great sound and lots of features.
