compressive with ableton live?

I downloaded compressive to check it out as the only other compressor (s) i have really used is the native compressor in live, and the Slim Slow Sliders Sidechain compressor - so i extracted the compressive file put it in my "test" folder in my plugins directory, fired up live, and was unable to find EITHER compressive files -

so i load another test vst(i) into the test directory, restart live and lives browser finds the test folder and the new vst(i) but not the compressive -

I tried moving the compressive directory into my main plugins folder, failed, i tried copying the compressive folder with both dlls and resource folder into both the TEST and plugins directory and it failed to open in ableton.....

is this VST not compatible with ableton?

it works fine with me, but i had those problems with other VSTs in Live (i remember the melodyne plugin demo never got detected...). SOrry but i can't hekp much.

its odd, this is the only vst that i have had an issue with - i.e. not being detected in live.

I guess though, if it doesnt have sidechain capabilities then i suppose it doesnt matter anyways. ::shrugg::

compressive works fine in Live on my pc, but i know your problems with other plug-ins. Till now Live can't recognize Guitar-Rig 2 as a plug-in, e.g.

how very very strange then.....obviously though - im not the only one with this specific problem - ....hrmm
