Be gentile, this is my first post here.

I am looking at the Creative Prodikeys to keep at my desk at work. Does anyone have any experience with these? I have Cubase LE that I would be using it with.

Any input would help.

I've seen that, cracks me up "small drums called tum tums". My use would be to control the VSTi's in Cubase. Wondered if anyone has tried this.

Prodikeys was my first controller a couple or few years back. Drivers were buggy, included software was bloated and cheesy, and there were too few keys.

But I loved it.

Got rid of the bloat-ware, learned to deal with the drivers, and had a blast. Definitely usable though limited. Nice multimedia keyboard. VSTi friendly.

Bobsled - Thanks for the reply. I'm just looking for something discreet to sit on my desk. The boss doesn't mind me goofing around on the clock as long as we aren't busy, but don't think he would care much for a huge controller sitting on my desk

I DO have the USB version on my Sonar machine and it is just fine for what it does. Esp. because I don't need to fire up the mixer and keyboard rack when I want to demo a vst or overdub a MIDI track. It controls velocity but no PB or Mod wheels. It is as playable as any mini key controller. And for $50, its cheap enough to be a throwaway solution, so I really can't complain about the "action" or lack of pro features.

I recall looking for the DM version (has PB and Mod wheel) a while back - couldn't find it available anywhere.

I think they only sell the USB version now (but I may be wrong) via the Creative.com website. BTW, That wheel off to the side of the USB version is a soundcard/audio feature volume control and not a bend wheel, in case anyone was wondering. I think that old one from the video did have wheels, though (as 1-2-Many says in his post).

Anyone Use ProdiKeys?
