I am looking to buy a Jen SX-1000 mono synth from 1978-1984. After much conversation on various fronts, I have decided this looks like a really fun little synth to shell out for while I wait for aciddose to finish his. The market value on this synth is low ($50-$200) for the simple fact that midi is impossible to implement on this synth due to the internal architecture making it all but a hassle in this day and age. But from samples I have heard and emulations like LETO it would be something cool to have around.
Any of you fine hardware enthusiasts know where one if selling?
Thanks

My friend has one. I don't know if he's selling but I'll ask. Personally I never found it to be anything remarkable...
Incomplete list of my gear: 1/8" audio input jack.

The demand has picked up in the past few years, and the last one I saw on ebay went for 500.00. Be warned that they are notorious for breaking down, and the parts are impossible to get. The analog techno guys dig it for a certain square bass that it can produce, and are hording units to break them down to get the parts to keep at least one of them running.
I wanted one for a long time because it has knobs, but jumped the bus too late.
I've seen the studio electronics SE-1 and ATC-1 go for 400.00 + lately. Much better synths, and the SE-1 has knobs to tweak.
A friend of mine found a Minimoog three weeks ago for 25.00 at a flea market. DOH!

The knobs are probably the most remarkable thing about this synth... they are all painted with kind of pastel metallic colors.Resonant Serpent wrote: I wanted one for a long time because it has knobs, but jumped the bus too late.
