As the title says, i am looking to get a headset microphone for live use and am interested in knowing if anyone out there has had good/bad experiences with certain brands.
I am looking to spend no more than $150. Tops.
I hear Shure's SM10 ACN is the headset version of the SM58 which should suffice. However, before i dive in i want to make SHURE (hahaha) I am getting my money's worth.

Sorry, could not resist. And so unlike me to drop a joke. But things are slow in the coal mine today.

I have a friend who uses a Shure SM10, and I hear his (coffeehouse) gig really often. It's no worse than a SM58, I guess. It definitely gets the job done.
Discussions like these make me wonder what's out there for a $1000 budget? For a $10,000 budget? Or do the pro's just end up using these same consumer headsets and lavs?

Hey Chuck...Jonny Q answered your question...
.....Jonny....he so funny!! not
@James..it wouldn't surprise me if the pros use inexpensive headsets. Look at all the pros that use the SM58 for RECORDING as opposed to just live use. I personally prefer to use the Beta 58. You'd think the pros would learn a thing or two from me
