needs to be sp2
dont forget to burn the drivers(extract them from bootcamp if you partition using terminal
and yeah, must be intel
edit, i know its lame but needs to be a bootable cd (my xp SP0 cd is not bootable, came with 7 floppies

)

you can't purchase oem windows xp unless you are an authorized system builder. It's illegal. And even then the oem xp has to be offered already installed on a complete computer system and cannot be transferred to another computer. This actually covers any microsoft oem product period and this has always been their stance. Read the EULA.

I'll provide you with the links if you like. There are no loopholes to this.
