I'm getting people's feedback on tap saturation sim's, of the type that impart that nice filling-out of the lower freq's with a little top-end dulling.

Let me know what you like & why.

Thanks,
Jer

Ferox. It simply sounds great. Voxengo's is good, too. Not as easy to set up as Ferox. So Ferox is a no brainer, free and easy to use. Did I say FEROX? Yes, I did ... ;)

you can't go wrong with it (ferox that is).

there's always stienberg's magneto - i've heard good things about it. don't know where you'll find it though.

Thanks for the rec & interesting review link. Magneto comes with Cubase (at least up to 3 SX, not sure about 4), so I've got that one.

I want to give Ferox a try, but to my ears the tape noise section sounds way-off... Too much low frequency.

hmm well i guess this is a fringe response but I absolutely adore the gs-201 space echo it has such a gorgeous tone, and wow and flutter is hot too

hmm ferox everyone talks about this... I havent really delved much into it but what do you "boost" to give it the tape sound? It seems like a tape delay and I don't like the delay sound... any tips?

Yes, let the delay be turned off! I do that most of the time.

Not exactly tape saturation but will give a 'saturated' drive for free is TLS sat drive. There was another one from TbT called the 2985 I think but I cant seem to be able to find it anywhere..

For non free, I'd have to say the Nebula3 tape sats are pretty dam good! I've tried Voxengo's Tape Bus but personally find that it really does not sound that good. I'd take Magneto over VTB in a heartbeat..

N3 is good. I just sampled a tape(top-secret and i will not say more)for N3 and WHOA!!!!! When it comes out Lagrange you will be digging it. It is dusty gritty, and saturated. Sorry, to be tempting but it is amazing how it emulates!

Daym trip that sounds pretty amazing! Anything to get that real sound (and real dirt!) :D!

Are you going to be releasing this for free, or as a pay product, or what?
