My band is probably gonna go into a semi-pro recording studio by the end of the year.
I am the drummer, whilst the (my) synth player is long time friends with the studio owner/engineer.

So in the midst of a situation where I'll be all mic'd up and shit to play at a $30 an hour rate I'm thinking I should ask to do a half an hour so worth of drum loops...
i.e.
5 minutes each of

60 bpm
75 bpm
90 bpm
105 bpm
120 bpm
135 bpm

then take the track(s) home and chop 'em all up etc.
...and then make them available in one way or or another over the internets

Any of you folks/blokes got any fancy ass ideas as to how to do such a thing well / conducive to proliferation?
Ideas are bulletproof... I am not.

Post

01. Play a click-track to desired BPM

02. Record your drummer playing to click

03. Repeat for the other BPM's

04. Have your engineer label each track with the proper BPM for each take.

:D
