Looking at assembling drum kits with sfzed. Overall I like the way it works, but I am unable to get the hi-hats mute group working. Not that there is anything wrong, I just do not know the opcodes to use.

Is there some where to get info on these codes on line?

pljones thanks for the link and the all the sfz files, I'm attempting to use your settings for the hats in my files. I understand that it is possible to make templates for notes or groups or file names?

It seems that the rgc site is now down and I was unable to find any further info on the sfz spec/opcodes on the Cakewalk site. If anyone could direct me to any further info on sfz files it would be greatly appreciated.

That said I'm amazed at what a great tool sfzed is, it should be the standard for all sample mappers.

I did some digging, and the sfz format specification from the rgcaudio website is archived here:

It might be worth saving to the hard drive for future reference...

The official page for SFZ format v1.0 is http://www.cakewalk.com/DevXchange/sfz.asp as part of the move from the rgcaudio domain into cakewalk.

Thanks for the link - how did you find it? I poked around on the Cakewalk site and saw no mention of sfz (free version) or the sfz format spec.

Edit: Now I see it - Support/DevXchange. Not very obvious.

I mostly use my page, anyway. It's got the "secret" extra opcodes in 1.97 listed.
