No, I don't know how they work under what you see, down into the unit.

You can email Yamaha support, they'll get back within about a day if you can buy a new part. If it "takes" some special part, that is.

I haven't opened up my EZ-AG, but all these products are simply elaborate piezo pickup systems. There may be a crafty way for you to make a substitution with some work.

From examining the EZ-AG, the trigger strings have the 'feel' of a nylon string though it's not one. You might try an A or D string gauge from a classical set of nylon strings and see if a cut one can be glued into place (or whatever). I doubt it will matter if the material is metallic or not.

If you don't already know, there's a lot of info here, but it's serial and hard to pin down:

Wish I could be more help.

I cant find it on the thred, does anyone know how to fix a string?

I'd open it up, and brainstorm. Unless you have a local fix-it shop.

I think the string is bent at one end, and glued. Don't remember exactly.
