Livekit7.sf2 on SF2MIDI - problem downloading

I am trying to download Livekit7.sf2 from SF2MIDI, but I am unable to. I'm a registered user and logged in.

When I try the download link, a window pops-up asking me to keep the new window opened and wait for the download to start.. but nothing happens.

I am using IE7 (also tried with Opera 9), with settings to allow pop-ups etc.

Is anyone else able to download it?

I came across this recently, too. Just went there again, and found that when you get the pop-up window that says "Sound font downloader", the link to the download is the words "Get file" in very small type under the line "Don't close this window during download!"

Thanks SWTrex that did the trick - I had a filter enabled which stopped the "Get file" link being displayed

.. I spoke too quickly.. the download starts fine, but when it reaches about 10% to 13% it aborts. I've tried and re-tried about 30 times, at diff. times of the day and evening but still no luck. I am on 4MBs broadband and I've never had this problems before. Is the soundfont available anywhere else?

Any help/hints appreciated,

You can give up on sf2midi. It has apparently been taken over by a bunch of eastern europeans who slowboat your download unless you give them your paypal info or pay extra for normal downloading. I never had any trouble downloading from this site, so to find out what might be the problem you and earlier posters mention I downloaded a file from sf2midi a few minutes ago. Seems business as usual. No problem downloading here. I'm using Firefox. You may have to click an advertisement away, and use your mouse to find a clickable link to start the download. Downloading speed is about 23kB/s, which is a bit slow, but not unreasonable, taking into account this is a free service. If you have problems with broken links you 'd better use a download manager I think.

So far this thread seemed reasonable, however I do not agree with the problems earlier posters mention, because my factfinding excercise (see before) told me the contrary.

But the previous poster's remarks on eastern europeans and the 3rd world are very agressive and offending.
This is exactly the type of behavior that I do not want to be confronted with as a daily kvr user.

1. It is based on 'facts' that are not true!
2. How does poster know that the site is being run by 'east-europeans"?
3. The rest of this quote is political, not to be discussed here. As well as very offensive (almost racist) to certain people/countries.

I hope kvr takes appropriate action.
