Hi!

Just bought a new computer and Windows XP with that (Used W2K on my old machine).

Trying to reinstall Luna 4 and 8.4 (As i have older an newer projects, and having problems loading the older ones in 8.4, I'm going parallell).

However, I'm repeatedly coming to the screen where I put in my serial number. After that it sometimes crashes, sometimes I come "all the way" (Selecting in- and outputs, ASIO, Vst-folder etc.). After that it crashes again and trying to start again I'll have to do it all over.

Sometimes I'll have to restart the computer as LUNA.exe continues (in "processes") although it has crasched and XP claims it has ended unexpectedly.

While waiting for the new exiting MU-lab, I really would love to keep working in the versions I have.

Any hints to fix this?

Did you really re-install LUNA i.e. unzipping everything to a fresh new folder?

Or did you just copy the original LUNA folder to the new system?

It should be the first.

Actually I tried both.

More info:
Sometimes it gives a short BSOD before the computer restarts, and sometimes just Luna crashes.

I also noticed that ASIO4ALL is enabled (and my soundcard, E-MU 0202) and after I try to start Luna the soundcard dissapears from A4A and it says that I don't have any soundcard.....

B.T.W:
Any chance of having the MU.LAB release as a "christmas gift"?
I have a couple of free days around X-mas so it should be nice to play a bit with it then.....

This all sounds like driver issue(s).

I would try, as a next test, to completely uninstall asio4all and purely use your EMU 0202 and use its proprietary asio driver.

How does that works?

Well, that is exactly the plan ;)

Now lets hope it can be realized 8)

Well, yes, just fine!
I had to uninstall and install a couple of times, but after that it works just splendid! Thanks! :) Should have thought of that myself.....

In my age it isn't often you feel like a kid before christmas, but this thing does..... :D
Daddy, daddy, when does Santa come? Is it christmas tomorrow? When does Mu-lab arrive?
