I bought it and have just received it in the post.

I haven't plugged it yet but I'm alarmed to see that the buttons wiggle so much! I expected better from Mackie... Maybe it's only my model ?

I have it. I'm not sure what you mean by wiggle so much. They wiggle a bit and seem fine to me. Their edges are all sealed with a flexible material, so maybe it has to do with that. When you press a button, you can feel it's not "cheap". I haven't had any problem with the mixer.

I mean that if you hold the tip of a knob by its extremity and move it gently around, the knobs moves about a little. They're a little loose, is what I mean. A little more than I would have expected, maybe it's because they're not screwed to the frame.

Yes, the knobs are also sealed and not screwed as usual. I've turned and turned them more than the avarage person

and all good as new. It is pretty different than in mixers without such sealing, but you get used to it quickly, and I don't think there's anything to worry about since Mackie is indeed known for excellent build quality.
