How to keep MIDI CTL when changing sounds?

Did a quick search and did not find answer to this. Also did a quick search for places to send this question to and did not find a better one. So:
I've finally figured out the best way to control SampleTank and Sonik Synth via MIDI controller (M-Audio Ozonic). Now I'd like to scroll the sounds and quickly test how they change from tweaking. Must I assign the MIDI CTL every time I load a new sound to a part?
I can't believe I can't so it is me, right? So help, please.

Pretty much the same question for me....
The midi-ctrl assigments can be saved with the presets but surely there is a way to set them globally, especially since the knobs are all the same regardless of preset.
If this limitation is indeed a fact, is there any workaround? Maybe a way to alter the .sti files in a batch?
Thanks!

Unfortunately this is a limitation of SampleTank, you can ONLY assign CCs to .stip files not to .sti files, these is no method to assign any global CCs ...
I have coded a custom wrapper which will also allow tweaking via a BCR2000 or BCF2000 ...

Thanks for the info. I actually got quite excited about your wrapper but it crashed the 2 times I tried to load it (actually it locked up Tracktion 3), I will have to do a little more experimenting with it though. Is the midi control aspect Behringer-only?

I have just tried it in the Tracktion v3.0.4.8 demo, and everything seems to work fine ...
Unfortunately the 8 controls E-1 to E-8 will ONLY work correctly with controllers that can generate relative Inc/Dec CC values. AFAIK this is only possible with rotary encoders like found on the Behringer BCR/BCF 2000 and Behringer Nano, I think Novation's Remote SL and Nocturn can also generate relative Inc/Dec CC values ...
The reason for this is that the wrapper does not know the value of a ST2.5 rotary-knob and emulates rotary-knob movement by sending mouse-move up/down messages to the ST2.5 GUI's surface ...
