I have my Microkorg connected to cubase and can use midi info to control the korgs tone generator so i can get a sound or a bassline or whatever.

When I go to export audio mixdown in the normal way solo the korgs channel set the locators etc. No audio is recorded if i try the same for a reason device audio is recorded fine. The korg is outputting audio as i can hear the bassline when i play the song but when i try to get audio mixdown so i can move on and use another patch or something no audio. Please help

You need to record the output of your Korg into Cubase as a regular audio track before you perform your mixdown.

Creating a mixdown merely sums the existing audio/vst tracks (+ automation, fx, etc) - it doesn't include any external sound sources.

Thats what i did tonight but unfortunatley it records slightly out and not as perfect as midi. Is this normal will I have to mess with it evrytime i record something to get it in beat?

THanks BTW

sounds maybe like midi/audio latency to me, afaik cubase has delay compensation, maybe a matter of looking that up in the manual?

or just manually shift the recorded track back until it's in time with everything else.
