I can't recall this being asked before, so forgive me if I'm going over old ground:

All of the IK instruments have a really clean interface for Combi saving and recall. With the new Combis for ST2.5, I find I'm using them a lot more these days. But I notice that once I call up a Combi (in any of the IK instruments), the NAME of the Combi is not recalled with the project later on.

This has become more than just a minor annoyance. I find some great sounds in the Combi lists, use them in a project, and then can't recall the name of the Combi later because ST apparently doesn't retain this information.

Is this a known bug, or is there something I should be doing differently?

Squids, do you know if this is something that might be addressed in future releases?

Oh, and a Happy and Healthy New Year to all!

It's a know bug. I reported it to IKMM some time ago.

But report it to IKMM anyway, so it moves up IK's to-do list.

I sometimes rename the track in my host, or insert a dummy empty MIDI part, and name it with the Combi name.

Problem is, your workaround could get really cumbersome since you could have literally dozens of additional Combi names for the same exact preset.

I can't imagine that this is a difficult fix. I admit that I didn't notice it before, but I'm surprised that it cleared the most recent software update.

Squids is big on Combi's and is a master of their design. I'd be surprised if he hasn't raised this as an issue previously as well.

In any event, I'll fill out an IK ticket on it, just to get it on record.

I appreciate your feedback Darkstar.
